One of the interesting details of the Governor's Residence is the molded plaster design in the ceiling of each room. The ceiling design in each room is different. The dining room has a very pleasing geometric-like design of interlocking shapes with small gold medallion centers. The ceiling design is echoed in the patterns on the carpet.
