Classic Art Deco ornamentation at the Paramount Theatre.

The design at the ends of the rows are very simple but distinctive.

I took this several months ago after leaving an art exhibit in the 13th area. The storm never came but I appreciated the building details as much as the rolling clouds.

On the exterior of the building, under the covered part of the complex, up towards the roof line.

Downtown Denver's landmark church, The Immaculate Conception. The architecture from the building is truly stunning - it will never be out of style no matter how old. The striking elements of the unique structure are only heighten again the backdrop of drab corporate buildings and mundane shopping stores.

This was photographed over the DOD weekend. The weather was not favorable, as it was pouring rain in the evening when I shot this. But I think inclement weather can make for more dramatic photographs with the chance of the unexpected.
